Precise and efficient
Three-Tec offers you an extensive product range of different feeding systems, with which a wide variety of materials can be precisely fed. From smallest quantities from 5 g per hour up to several tons. The performance of the equipment is particularly evident in the efficient feeding of poorly flowing powders. Both for gravimetric as well as the volumetric feeding, Three-Tec offers the appropriate devices incl. control.
The sophisticated design allows assembly, disassembly and cleaning of all components in contact with the product in just a few steps and in a very short time. All components in contact with the product consist of stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L) and can therefore be cleaned easily and efficiently with a wide range of liquids and solvents. Automated cleaning systems such as WIP (washing in place), CIP (cleaning in place) or SIP (sterilization in place) are available on request.

Flat-tray feeders
Three-Tec's flat-tray feeders guarantee precise volumetric and gravimetric feeding of good to poor-flowing, moist or bridging products with flowabilities of ffc 1 - 5. All flat-bottom feeders can be supplemented with a scale and control system at any time and operated as a gravimetric "Loss in Weight" or "Gain in Weight" and continuous system or used for batch filling.
Features
Feeder with integrated load cell
The two feeder types ZD 5 i6000 and ZD 9 i10000 are also available with integrated load cells instead of the platform scale. The all-in-one solution makes the feeder smaller, lighter (only 5 kg) and easier to handle and thus easier to position.
Due to the low drop height, the feeder has a lower susceptibility to external disturbance variables such as drafts or vibration. The smaller weight of the device also improves the resolution of the load cell considerably.

Single- and twin-screw feeders allow precise volumetric and gravimetric feeding of well-flowing powders and granules. All standard feeders can be supplemented with a scale and weighing electronics and operated as gravimetric "loss-in-weight" or batch systems.

Feeding tools
With the right feeding tool, you can match your feeding system exactly to the product for the best results. Learn more about the different options here.
Drive
One-engined (1M)
Most Three-Tec metering units are available with either one or two drives. With single-motor machines, the soil scraper or bridge breaker and metering tools are driven by the same motor via a gearbox. The speed of the floor scraper or bridge breaker always depends on the rotational speed of the metering augers.
Advantages one-engined:
- More compact feeding systems
- Smaller weight (especially advantageous for gravimetric systems)
- Fewer cables (smaller influence on the scale for gravimetric feeding)
- Small programming effort
Twin-engined (2M)
Floor scrapers and bridge breakers are driven by separately controlled motors.
Advantages twin-engined:
- Better alignment to the product possible
- Later product-specific adjustments possible
- Progressive speed curve of the tray scraper possible with decreasing product quantity in the hopper
Bellows
In order to avoid interference with gravimetric systems due to dust protection, bellows are installed as flexible connections with the vessels.
Hoppers
Feeding hoppers are available in a wide variety of sizes and shapes depending on customer requirements. For baking products, for example, an upward negative conical shape is recommended. Learn more about the different hopper shapes here.

Gravimetric controls are equipped with hardware components from Siemens. Higher-level controls for multi-feeding or feeding applications in a process with several components are available. Various communication protocols allow the integration of the feeding units into existing systems.
Dust cover
Filter
Filters prevent dusty products from escaping when refilling the dosing hopper or vertical discharge pipes.
Suction
At the discharge pipe, dusty product can be sucked off and conveyed back to the feeding hopper
Ionization
To prevent static charge and adhesion of certain products to the walls of the containers or tubes, they are ionized during hopper refilling or discharge.
Scales
For the highest accuracy, choosing the right scale is crucial.
PFW/S Platform scales
Platform scales with standard Siemens strain gauge load cells up to 300 kg. For higher resolution, digital load cells can be used in conjunction with SIWAREX from Mettler-Toledo, as well as PESA. Platform scales are used for small to medium batching capacities.
Loss-in-weight scale with three load cells for larger feeding rates
The weight is recorded with three robust load cells. Loss-in-weight scales are used in the food industry and in the chemical industry.
Outlet pipe
Depending on the application and process requirements, vertical or horizontal discharge tubes can be mounted. The connection to customer systems can be adapted and prepared.
Enclosure
For special applications in the pharmaceutical industry drive and gearbox are completely enclosed and ventilated with compressed air.
