As an internationally successful manufacturer in process technology, Three-Tec GmbH can look back on 20 years of company history and is arming itself for the future with an expansion of the production site in Seon, Switzerland.
Technical processes, tools and systems for fine feeding, filling and extrusion of a wide variety of materials and products are elementary components of modern production in many branches of industry. In the pharmaceutical and dental industries, medical technology, and the food and beverage industries, they are just as indispensable today as they are in the cosmetics industry or in the manufacture of chemicals and plastics. Many other industries use suitable technologies, and they are also used in research.
Three-Tec GmbH has been internationally successful in the development and manufacture of such systems for two decades. In its anniversary year, Three-Tec responded to the increasing demand by expanding its production site in the form of a second company building.
With the new building, which began on October 14, 2020, Three-Tec is more than tripling its operating space from the previous approximately 2,500 m² to nearly 8,000 m².
"With the significant increase in space, we are creating the conditions to increase our overall capacities and to meet an increasing demand at the usual high level of quality," explains Mike Wipf, managing partner of Three-Tec GmbH. The new building will also house two larger test laboratories with a separate washroom where laboratory tests will form the basis for further product development. "One of our new test labs will be able to be converted into a clean room in just a few steps. This will enable us to lay the foundations for customer orders from the pharmaceutical industry," says Wipf, describing the construction planning.
During planning, aspects of sustainability were also deliberately taken into account. For example, those responsible decided to replace the existing gas heating system as part of the new construction with an efficient and environmentally friendly heat pump that will serve to both heat and cool the building.
